Healthy Start Programs

The Healthy Start Programs are comprehensive summer and afterschool initiatives designed to enrich the lives of youth through engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being. Offered through schools, Boys & Girls Clubs, churches, and community organizations, the programs include:

·       Enrichment Activities: Hands-on academic support, arts, STEM, and life skills that foster confidence, creativity, and resilience.

·       Wellness & Recreation: Daily physical activity, mindfulness, and health education to support holistic development.

·       Nutritious Meals: Healthy breakfasts, lunches, or snacks provided to ensure children receive the nourishment they need to grow and thrive.

·       Safe & Supportive Environment: Caring adult mentors and structured routines that promote positive relationships and protective factors.

The Healthy Start Programs give youth the tools they need to succeed in school, build positive habits, and grow into healthy, capable young adults.
